By taking advantage of the many community gardens within the greater Cleveland area, individuals from ages 6 to 21 will come together and plant fruits and vegetables for the purpose of distributing to the community after the harvest.

Children ages 6-11 will come together every Tuesday and Thursday between the hours of 11am and 2pm. We encourage everyone to arrive 15 minutes early. Parent participation is welcomed but not required. The book reading starts promptly at 11am and ends at 12pm.

Individuals (ages 12 – 21) will be teamed up by age, starting with groups of two. They will be given a checklist of various tasks to complete. These tasks will target specific categories, dealing with charitable and volunteer work, friendship building activities

Individuals ages 14 -17 and 18 – 21 will explore real life topics involving everyday struggles with societal issues. There will be open conversations about how things should/shouldn’t be handled. All suggestions are welcomed.

The goal is to allow individuals who have previously completed prior activities to go back as mentors inside of their favorite programs and help teach new participants. It allows them to take what they’ve learned and apply it in such a way as to embed it into their everyday life.
